Imlay City, Michigan - June 2012
Imlay City recently added a Train Viewing Platform to compliment the GTW Station
Museum in the downtown area. The platform, patterned after one built in Folkston, Georgia, is located on Depot Drive next to the CN railroad mainline and west of
the Depot Museum. Planning and construction was sponsored by the Imlay City Downtown Development Authority with grants received from Lapeer County Community Foundation and the Four County Community Foundation. The platform was built by R-Squared Builders, LLC, with volunteer help from DDA members, city employees, Imlay City Rotary Club members and local citizens.
